Barracuda Under Reamer

DESCRIPTION:
The GTL Barracuda Under Reamer is a short, robust, fluid-activated tool. The design of the Barracuda’s two milling blades increases their structural strength and obtainable milling surface, resulting in better Rate of Penetration.
The Barracuda also has a built-in pilot mill, enhancing the milling process, and aiding in the centralization of the BHA, insuring an even wellbore.
The Barracuda’s under reaming blades are offered in a variety of milling carbide styles and harnesses for various applications.
With a simple change of blade style, and proper inserts for the ap- plication, the Barracuda is also an effective cutter and tubing end locator tool. Individual Barracuda Product Reports are available for each of these applications from GTL.
APPLICATION:
The Barracuda Under Reamer is designed to pass through completion related restrictions, such as nipple profiles inside the production tubing, and out into the casing string. When the tool is inside the casing string, and flow is activated, the blades will open to the predetermined diameter, while at the same time aiding centralization the BHA.
The Barracuda Under Reamer can be run on conventional rotary rigs or coil tubing units with high torque low RPM positive displacement motors.
